PG109: The RCD triggers, but no reading.

The RCD triggers during the trip test, but no measured value appears.

After the RCD has been triggered, it is checked whether the voltage is really switched off.

If a load with an inductance is connected to an RCD, it generates a reverse voltage when switched off.

This reverse voltage is detected by the Profitest and the tester cannot distinguish whether it is only an inductive reverse voltage, or whether the voltage from the network is still there. Therefore, no tripping time or tripping current is displayed.

It is best to turn off all loads before performing a trip test.
